Vancouver WORLD CONGRESS OF DERMATOLOGY 2015

Dr. Martin Kassir lectured in Vancouver, the city hosting the 23rd WORLD CONGRESS OF DERMATOLOGY. The ESLD or European Society for Laser Dermatology held its session during the World Congress of Dermatology. Dr. Kassir first lectured on "MANAGING LASER COMPLICATIONS" in a session chaired by Dr. Michael Gold, Director of Gold Skin Care in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Kassir reviewed the basic mistakes resulting in laser complications. Through a review of laser physics, Dr. Kassir outlined why certain complications occur based on the physics of light tissue interactions. Dr. Kassir then reviewed steps to take in the clinic to minimize or eliminate laser complications, such as protocols and laser stickers. Finally, he reviewed his methods for managing complications once they have occurred. Other experts lecturing in this session were Dr. Michael Gold, Dr. Peter Bjerring, and Dr. Keyvan Nouri.
