This Laser Course is a comprehensive 40 hour didactic class. There are 32 hours of in class didactic and practical lessons, and there are 8 hours of BLS (Basic Life Support) classes as required by the State of Texas.

Laser Physics
In this section, students will receive fundamental training in laser physics. Upon completion of this section, students should (1) understand energy, pulse width, wavelength, and spot size, while being able to (2) describe the importance of laser physics to Laser Hair Removal (LHR).
Laser Treatment Design
In this section, students will receive training in both pre and post treatment protocols, topical anesthesia used in conjunction with LHR procedures, and treatment contraindications. Upon completion of this section students should be able to (1) understand treatment protocols, (2) apply topical anesthesia, and (3) recognize contraindications.
Laser Safety and Patient Assessment
In this section, students will receibe training in eye protection, proper signage and posting, consultations, and assessment of patients medications, pre-existing condistions, and previous hair removal procedures. upon completion of this section, students should be able to (1) set up the proper eye protection for the procedure, (2) understand the signs and postings related to the LHR procedure, and (3) be able to assess appropriate treatment options based on the patients skin type and medical condition(s).
WWLI is approved as a career school by the Texas Workforce Commission and is authorized as an agency approved laser hair removal training course by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
